She looked good, she looked fine....
Guess what I did tonight?!?! Oh nothing really....JUST WALKED ALL BY MYSELF!!! I told you I was amazing!!

Big sister Brooke better save her tap shoes for me, because I'll be needing them in just a few short years!

Its so much fun to walk - it leaves my hands free to give great big hugs!

Join my family and friends on Saturday at Tim Horton's - they'll be there with my bright pink canisters and my posters - help us to spread the "Livee Love" to CHEO!!!

High fives, and a *one* *two* *three* step to you!!

Another fun day for us!

Hello Everybody! It is I, Miss Princess Olivia - Livee the Lovable!

Today, my mom had ANOTHER interview about me. This week I was in the Glengarry News again (mentioned in a few places), and in the Vankleek Hill Review - I had a great article there, with two pictures of me - they were very cute if I do say so myself!

On Saturday, we are going to be at Tim Horton's, selling tickets for the golf clubs and bag, along with a basket of honey (sweet like me!) and other little things, donated by my Nana!

If you see one of my very popular cannisters, please be sure to stop and put in a Loonie or Two for me!

Snuggles to all of my fans,

Livee the Lovable

So You Think You Can Play Like Tiger Woods

Well, thanks to my Mommy's super cousin, Kevin Quesnel, maybe you can!!!

The company Kevin works for has generously donated a set of men's Prostaff Golf Clubs, complete with a brand new bag!

This set is valued at nearly $600, and my family and friends will be selling tickets for it to raise even more money for Livee's Loonies!!!

And...even more important - we will be drawing the lucky winner on MY birthday - May 24th.

Make sure and buy lots of tickets - I have a feeling that is going to be a very lucky day - 'specially since I will be three big years old then!!

I love you, cousin Kevin!!

My Silly Mommy!

My mommy is so silly!! Guess what? She has been talking soooo much about Livee's Loonies that she has lost her voice!!! When she talks, all I can hear is a tiny little squeak, just like when I was an itty bitty baby just starting to make sounds.

Yesterday, she had ANOTHER interview with another newspaper, and tomorrow, there will be even MORE stories about me. Can you believe that?!

We've even gotten some very exciting donations today, that I will tell you all about tomorrow, once my mom's voice has rested a little.

We are so proud of everyone who is supporting us! We are going to have a whole lot of people to thank when this thing is over!

Hugs and sweet baby kisses,

Livee (of Livee's Loonies of course!)

Farley Windows Made a Very Generous Donation!

Wow! Today, at my dad's work, Farley Windows, they raffled off a gift certificate to Mark's Work Warehouse.

Can you guess how much money they raised for Livee's Loonies for CHEO?

FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY TWO DOLLARS!!!

Thank you so much, Farley's - your generosity is very much appreciated by my whole family!!!

Hugs and kisses,

Miss Princess Livee

My very awesome big brother, Ryan

My Daddy and Mommy work very hard to teach all of us wonderful life lessons. My daddy always tells my brothers "be nice to girls." Well, you won't believe how nice my big brother, Ryan is!

Ryan won a brand new bike and helmet at school because our family raised $1500 in a cheese fund-raiser. That's pretty exciting!!

But, you know what Ryan is going to do? He is going to hold a silent auction for his new bike at our yard sale, and
donate all the proceeds to Livee's Loonies for CHEO Isn't he the sweetest?!?!?

I sure am proud of him - not too many 14-year-old boys would do that for their little sister.

My Mom and dad sure are raising good kids!!

I love you, Ryan! *smooch*

Little Livee

Little Livee

Little Livee, so sweet and small
Brings joy and love to one and all.
At CHEO for many a night and day,
The Seguin family can only say
Thanks to all for all you've done,
May our lengthy battle soon be won,
But with more surgery still to face
CHEO's cause we must embrace.
Please give a loonie or even two
CHEO thanks you and we do too!

Its a good thing I have so many brothers and a sister!

Because it looks like I am going to be FAMOUS - and I'm going to need them to help me sign my autograph - at least until I learn to do it for myself!

Just a few days after the launch of "Livee's Loonies" and my project is growing so fast!

Here is the article written about me in our local newspaper.

"Local Couple Launches "Loonies for Livee" CHEO Fundraiser"

Carol and Leonard Seguin have spent the best part of the last couple of weeks at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario with their daughter, Olivia.

"Livee" as she is fondly called by her family, is no stranger to the institution. She spent the first two months of her life at CHEO undergoing a battery of tests and treatments. She has had several surgeries on her lungs and faces more in the future.

Though she will be just three years old this July, she has had 11 bouts of pneumonia, and for each she has been hospitalized. Already she has suffered more medical emergencies than many of us will face throughout the whole of our lives.

On the plus side, wee Livee has a network of adoring fans. Not only do her parents and six siblings worry about her health and cheer her every recovery, but she is a member of a very large extended family. Her parents have been overwhelmed by the support they have received from the community.

Furthermore, the staff at CHEO treats Livee like visiting royalty when she arrives there, knowing not only her name, but also the names of all her brothers and sister. Carol and Leonard are profoundly grateful to these devoted professionals for their expertise and their devotion to their young charges.

To express their gratitude concretely, the couple has decided to spearhead a fundraising initiative to benefit the hospital, calling it "Livee's Loonies for CHEO."

The Seguins have enlisted the help of their friends, Betsy and Wayne Lapierre, whose nine-year-old daughter, Paige, has also undergone several surgeries at CHEO. The families are placing coin boxes at local shops throughout the area and are asking members of their community to donate their spare change in the boxes.

All proceeds will be presented to the hospital at its yearly fundraising telethon on the first weekend of June.

The Seguins and the Lapierres know what a difference a world-class hospital can make in the life of a family. Their efforts will help CHEO help children like Livee and Paige - and who knows? Maybe someday your child or mine - in their fight for life.

All about Livee's Loonies

My name is Olivia Seguin, and I am the youngest child of Leonard and Carol Seguin. I have 5 brothers, Matt, Ryan, Adam, Nick & Noah, and 1 sister, Brooke.

I was born almost three years ago. I arrived in the world with a few little extras...an extra chromosome, for one thing. I have Trisomy 21, Down syndrome. But that's not the most important extra I arrived with.

I am extra cute and extra sweet and extra loved by my whole family. And I love them a whole lot extra too!

I can do lots of things - I am signing up a storm, and trying very hard to walk, even though I'm itty bitty at just 21 lbs. right now.

Since my birth, I have been sick quite a bit. I get pneumonia very easily. My doctors are working hard to help me to get better and stay better.

This website is to keep all my friends and family, and all of the many people who pray for me updated on how I'm doing.

And the title of this website, "Livee's Loonies" is because I am working on a very special project. I am collecting loonies from all of my friends and family, and all of my family's friends, and all of their friends, and so on...

You see, my family is very grateful for all of the hard work of the doctors and nurses at CHEO, the hospital where I go to get bigger, better and stronger. So, we would like to give back to them by collecting lots and lots and LOTS of loonies. We are hoping we can deliver these loonies at the Telethon in June.

Please come by and visit often, and see how I am doing, and see how big Livee's Loonies is growing!
