Yard Sale Totals are In!

Hello to all of my fans!

Well, it was sort of a rainy day, but that didn't stop our yard sale! We just moved it inside, and had a long row of tables full of all sorts of goodies.

We had many generous people who donated items, and nearly 40 volunteers to man the tables and the barbeque not to mention all of the wonderful people who baked for us!

We also had some very special guests who visited us that day - my friends Emma and Paige came by to say hello, and Noah's friend, Jenna, along with lots of friends of my big sister Brooke - every time I saw her that day, she had 6 or 7 girls around her!

And, we had a very nice visit from our friend, Carol Anne Meehan, who works for CJOH News. Carol Anne wasn't working that day - she just came to say hello. She had her sweet daughter Elena with her.

Even though she wasn't working, she was very accommodating to all of the people who wanted to take their picture with her.

We raised a whooping 3,200 dollars in one day!!

Hoorah for us!!!

Hugs and kisses

I'm Home!

Hello to All My Great Fans!!

It's Sunday, and I'm finally home! I'm feeling a lot better, and I let out a big squeal when I came down my lane toward my house. Boy, I sure miss everyone when I have to stay at the hospital for a few days.

Lucky for me, big sister Brooke came and spent a couple of days with Mom and me at CHEO. She was a big help for Mom, because I'm a little busier than I used to be!

Of course, all of the nurses on Four East fell totally in love with me, and wanted to claim me as their baby - I tend to do that to people, I am full of charm, you know.

I have lots of medication to take, and Mom and Dad have lots of instructions for my care, but at least I can sleep in my own bed tonight.

Its a good thing I'm feeling better, because its going to be a very busy week for Livee's Loonies this week. The high school put up a big sign about me so everyone will know about the yard sale. On Thursday night, we are taking donations into the school if anyone has anything they would like to donate to us.

And if you like to bake, please bring along your favorite recipe, all cooked up and ready to sell!

Don't forget Carol Anne Meehan will be there to say hello that day too!!

Thanks for all of your prayers.

I'm not feeling so well...

Hello to all my fans,

I just wanted to let you all know that I am not feeling very good right now. I have been a bit raspy for a few days, and on Monday, I saw Dr. Pothos at CHEO, who told my Mom to keep her eye on me, and if I got any worse to take me into the hospital.

Well, like all kids do, I waited until the middle of the night to spike a fever. So Mom and Dad took me to the hospital here in Alexandria. My O2 sats were really bad, even with lots of oxygen, so early Tuesday morning, Daddy and I got to ride in the big ambulance to CHEO.

Daddy was very brave, and held my hand and tried to entertain me all the way there. Mom went home to get all of my siblings off to school, and then she came to the hospital to relieve Dad. He was pretty tired (and needed a shave!).

So, the doctor's say I have pneumonia again. That's not good for me, because my lungs are still tiny and very fragile. I am on all kinds of medicine - one they have to put in my arm with a NEEDLE!! It took them 6 times to get it in, because I have lots of scar tissue from all the other times they put an i.v. in.

And I am taking a steroid to help me breathe. It helps, but it makes me hyper and grumpy all at the same time.

Then, I have to have oxygen too! I'm tied up to all kinds of things, and to top it all off, they had to put a hood on my crib because I wanted OUT of there! Can you blame me?!?!

So my mom and I are hanging out here at CHEO for however long it takes my lungs to get strong enough to breathe on their own. When I can go 24 hours without oxygen and keep my sats up, then they will think about letting us go home.

If anyone wants to check on me, I'm on Four East at the hospital. And right now, my dad is home with all of my siblings, so if you can help them in any way, please do.

Tonight is my brother, Nick's, Confirmation. We sure wish we could be there with him, but we send him lots of love and prayers and asked Daddy to take lots of pictures for us.

Thank you everyone for all of your thoughts and prayers for my speedy recover.

Love,

Livee

My Movie!

Last year, my Mom's friend, Betsy, made a video ALL about me!!! Over 100 copies of this video were given to friends and family in thanks for all of their love and support.

Betsy was finally able to load it to my webpage - please excuse the poor quality and the words "evaluation copy" at the bottom of the slides - Powerpoint is a very pesky thing!

Enjoy seeing my great family!

The Tulip Project

Hello Everybody!

I am getting very excited about the next two months. We will be doing our annual fund-raising for Livee's Loonies for CHEO in April and May. And, oh yeah, its also my birthday in May! I will be FOUR years old - can you believe that?!?

Please check back on my blog often in the next few weeks, because I will have lots and lots of announcements for all of my many fans to read about Livee's Loonies.

On May 3rd, there will be a giant yard sale at the high school just like last year, with a barbeque and a bake sale and lots of items for sale.

Another great project that we will have for the first time this year is called "The Tulip Project".

This project was created by my friend Paige's Mom, Betsy. Paige has Down syndrome too, and had a bit of a rough winter. You can read all about her here.

Betsy and her sister have created a series of hand-made cards that will be sold to benefit my fund-raiser. Each card is one-of-a-kind (just like me!) and will be sold throughout the months of April and May. There are a variety of cards, but each of them have a tulip on them somewhere, along with the story of why a tulip was chosen on the backs of the cards.

These cards are one set for $15.00 or two sets for $25.00. If you would like to order some, please email me at LiveesLoonies@hotmail.com, or call my mom or Betsy.

I will be posting some pictures of these cards within the next few days, so stop by again soon to see the works of my friends!

Love and smooches,

Princess Olivia

It's that time of year again!!

Hello to all of my friends!!

Well, its that time of year again, and my family and friends are starting to get excited about "Livee's Loonies for CHEO"

The most exciting news I have to share with all of you is that I have been HOSPITAL FREE since last April - almost a whole year! I'm getting stronger and, of course, cuter by the minute. I am starting to talk, and am keeping my family entertained with all of my new words. I bet you wouldn't guess that one of the words I know and say all the time is "hockey!"

This year, my friends will be working on a very special project called "The Tulip Project" that will help raise money for CHEO in my name. Please check back here often for details...I am very excited to tell you all about it!

Happy Valentine's Day to all of my fans!

hugs and big wet sloppy kisses,

Princess Olivia
